Kathi Snook is an independent education consultant from Concord, MA. Kathi graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Engineering. She holds a Masters Degree in Applied Mathematics and a Doctoral Degree in Curriculum & Teaching, both from Boston University. Kathi’s personal and professional passions are focused on education and service.
Colonel Snook taught Mathematics at West Point for over ten years where she directed the Freshman Math Program, served as the Core Curriculum Coordinator, and chaired the Faculty Development Program for the 65-member Mathematical Sciences Department. Dr. Snook served on several Mathematical Association of America (MAA) national committees, and was the mathematics editor for Kendal Hunt’s Math Innovations middle school curriculum and for the COMAP BioMath curriculum project funded by the National Science Foundation. Mrs. Snook actively supported her five children’s school and extracurricular activities for three decades as head cheerleader, taxi driver, lunch packer, parent coordinator/rep/fundraiser, and tutor, and served on the Concord Public School and Concord Carlisle Regional School Committees in Concord, MA.
Currently, Kathi is the director of COMAP’s International High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling and the U.S. senior judge for the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge. Kathi’s husband Scott, a former classmate from West Point and retired Army Colonel, is a Senior Lecturer at the Harvard Business School. Kathi and Scott have five children. Their daughter Jessica attended Riverview School from 2014 through 2015.
