Varun Vasudev

Varun Vasudev has over 17 years of experience in the software engineering industry. Varun began their career in 2003 as a Software Engineer at Yahoo!, where they worked on tools for search engine optimization and data extraction from other travel sites on the web. Varun was then promoted to Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, and finally Principal Software Engineer. In 2011, they left Yahoo! to become the VP Engineering at Stormglass Software Pvt Ltd, where they developed video games and grew the development team. That same year, they also worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Hortonworks, where they were an individual contributor on the Apache Hadoop project and a committer and PMC member working primarily on Apache Hadoop YARN. In 2018, they became Co-Founder and Senior Engineer at Rivet Labs.

Varun Vasudev obtained their B.E. in Computer Science from RV College of Engineering between 1999 and 2003.
