Jacob Field has extensive experience in electrical engineering, particularly in prototype development within the automotive sector. At Rivian, contributions included designing improvements for electrical architecture in prototype show vehicles and creating a next-generation zonal electrical controller. Additional roles involved developing a java-based plugin to enhance manufacturing processes for vehicle wiring harnesses and co-developing diagnostic tools for infotainment systems. As Hardware Development Lead at OPEnS Lab, Jacob focused on resolving issues in environmental DNA samplers and collaborating with research stakeholders. Jacob is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Oregon State University, building on an Associate of Science degree from Columbia Gorge Community College.
