Vainktesh Swami

Vainktesh Swami is a Powertrain Test Engineer - II currently working at Rivian since July 2023, having previously served as an Engineering Intern there from May 2022 to May 2023 focusing on powertrain testing. Prior experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research from October 2021 to June 2022, contributing to the Automation, Robotics, and Mechatronics Lab, and developing AWS Deepracer machine learning models. Vainktesh also worked at Coal India Limited as an Assistant Executive Engineer managing the operation and maintenance of hybrid powertrain haul trucks. Earlier roles include Powertrain Engineer at Mechismu Racing, where technical aspects of engine modifications were managed for a Formula Student team, and internships at Volvo Construction Equipment and MotrPart, focusing on engine R&D and design optimization, respectively. Vainktesh holds a Master of Science from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Technology in Mining Machinery Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad.
