Vasant Easwaran

Vasant Easwaran is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in electrical hardware functional safety and automotive solutions. Currently serving as Sr Manager of Electrical Hardware Functional Safety at Rivian, responsibilities include leading safety architecture, analysis, verification, and ASIL compliance for various automotive systems. Vasant has a background as a Principal Engineer/Manager at Qualcomm, focusing on ASIL PMICs for safety-critical applications, and as Sr Manager at Cyient, where expertise was applied to custom ASIC and system solutions in collaboration with automotive Tier1s and OEMs. Previous roles include significant contributions as a Member of the Technical Staff at Texas Instruments, managing power solutions for advanced SoCs, and establishing compliance with ISO26262 standards. Vasant is also a Senior Member of IEEE and has filed five provisional patents in the hardware safety architecture domain. Vasant holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Nagpur University.
