Ivo van Walle

Ivo Van Walle is a Senior Scientist at RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment since March 2021. With a solid background in bioinformatics, Ivo served as an Expert in Public Health Bioinformatics at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control from November 2010 to October 2020. Previous experience includes the role of Manager of External Projects at Johnson & Johnson from 2007 to November 2010 and Scientist/Consultant at Algonomics from 2005 to 2007. Ivo holds a PhD in Bioinformatics and a Master in (Bio)Engineering, BioEngineer, both from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where studies were completed between 1995 and 2005. Early education was at Koninklijk Atheneum II from 1989 to 1995.
