Robert J. Schott M.D.

Robert J. Schott MD, MPH, FACC currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Rivus Pharmaceuticals as of November 2023. Prior to this, Robert was Chief Medical Officer at Nutcracker Therapeutics, focusing on RNA therapeutics development, and at Lilly CHORUS, overseeing clinical development strategies from Phase 1 through Proof-of-Concept for various assets. Robert's extensive experience includes roles such as Head of Therapeutics at Sangamo Therapeutics, Global Launch Leader at Eli Lilly for Evacetrapib, Vice President for Medical Affairs at diaDexus, and Medical Director at Profil Institute for Clinical Research. Robert also served as Chair of the Department of Cardiology at Deborah Heart and Lung Center. Educational qualifications include an MD, BS, and MPH in Biomedicine and Epidemiology from the University of Michigan, and specialized training in invasive cardiology from Massachusetts General Hospital.
