Basim Sheikh

Basim Sheikh has a strong background in corporate banking and relationship management. Basim started their career at Mars Securities Private Limited as an Assistant Consultant in 2003 and then moved on to Mukhtar Law Associates Private Limited in 2004, where they held a similar role. In the same year, Basim joined ORIX Leasing Pakistan Limited as a Relationship Manager, focusing on corporate leasing.

In 2007, Basim joined Alawwal Bank as Division Head of Corporate Banking. Basim led a team of relationship managers and played a key role in establishing and maintaining relationships with top-tier institutional and large corporate banking customers. Basim successfully executed credit appraisals and secured notable corporate mandates for the bank. Basim also managed a multi-billion portfolio across various sectors such as manufacturing, trading, real estate, and healthcare.

In 2017, Basim joined Riyad Bank as Vice President (Team Leader) in Corporate Banking. Basim directed a relationship management team and was responsible for establishing and strengthening relationships with public and private sector corporations in Saudi Arabia. Basim worked closely with the Regional Head to achieve portfolio returns, structure facilities, mitigate risk, and maximize returns in accordance with the bank's policies and objectives. Basim recently transitioned to the role of Senior Vice President (Area Manager) in Corporate Banking.

Basim Sheikh holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Hamdard University in Pakistan.
