James Simers CPTD

James Simers CPTD has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. James started their career as an Assistant Camp Director at Camp Epworth in 2001. James then worked as a Teacher at New Canaan Public Schools from 1999 to 2005, where they implemented innovative teaching methods and engaged students actively in the learning process.

In 2005, James became the Office Manager at Mad Science, where they managed a team of science instructors and office staff. James trained instructors on program content and presentation skills, and developed new material for workshops and shows.

From 2010 to 2011, James worked as an eLearning Developer at Children's Rescue Mission, where they independently developed computer-based training modules for volunteer missionaries. James collaborated with Subject Matter Experts to create engaging and accurate program content.

In 2007, James established their own firm, Mustard Seed Design, LLC, as a Landscape Designer and Owner. James utilized their instructional knowledge to communicate design ideas to clients using digital imaging and AutoCAD programs.

From 2011 to 2015, James was a Training Specialist at City Electric Supply, responsible for conducting training programs. James then joined WinnCompanies in 2015 as a Training Specialist and later became the Manager of Learning & Development in 2016. James played a key role in developing and implementing learning initiatives within the company.

Most recently, James joined RKL LLP in 2021 as a Talent Development Manager, overseeing talent development programs.

James Simers CPTD has a diverse education history. James obtained a Certificate in Workplace eLearning and Performance Support from Boise State University from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Fairfield University between 1999 and 2002. James completed their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Sacred Heart University from 1994 to 1997. James Simers CPTD also holds a Diploma from Trumbull High School, which they earned from 1988 to 1992.

In addition to their formal education, James Simers CPTD has obtained various certifications. James is a Talent Optimization Certified Leader from The Predictive Index, which they achieved in July 2019. James is also a Master Performance Consultant from the Association for Talent Development (ATD), which they obtained in June 2017. Furthermore, they have completed several online courses, including Organizational Leadership Capstone from Coursera Course Certificates in May 2017, Leadership Through Design Innovation from Coursera in January 2017, Leadership Through Marketing from Coursera Course Certificates in December 2016, Predictive Index Analyst from The Predictive Index in November 2016, Leadership Through Social Influence from Coursera Course Certificates in October 2016, Leadership Communication for Maximum Impact: Storytelling from Coursera Course Certificates in September 2016, and High Performance Collaboration: Leadership, Teamwork, and Negotiation from Coursera Course Certificates in August 2016. Most recently, in April 2022, James Simers CPTD became a Certified Professional in Talent Development from ATD CI - The ATD Certification Institute.
