Rufus H. Rivers

Rufus H. Rivers is the managing partner at RLJ Equity Partners. Rufus has over 20 years of experience in the private equity and investment industries. Prior to their current position, they were a managing director and co-founder at Carlyle Mezzanine Partners, LP. There, they were responsible for creating a corporate culture of trust, accountability and transparency in establishing a $436 million fund focused on private debt and equity investments in middle-market companies. Before Carlyle, Rivers was a senior vice president/principal at TCW/Crescent Mezzanine where they evaluated investment opportunities for a firm with $2.5 billion of capital under management.

Rufus H. Rivers has a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Cum Laude, with concentrations in Accounting and Management from Morehouse College. Rufus also has a Masters of Management Degree, with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management.
