Don Windeler

Don Windeler began their work experience in 1989 as an Engineering Intern at NTH Consultants, Ltd. Don then transitioned to RMS in 1993, starting as a Lead Geologist in Model Development. Over the years, Don held various roles at RMS, including Director of Model Product Management, Director of Analytics Model Product Management, Senior Director of Training & Education, and finally Head of Client Training & Education in November 2018. In their most recent role, they led a team focused on domain knowledge transfer for catastrophe modeling concepts, best practices, and software solutions using digital, virtual, and instructor-led training methods.

Don Windeler completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Geological Engineering at Michigan Technological University from 1985 to 1989. Don then went on to earn a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Earth Sciences from Stanford University from 1989 to 1992. There is no available information about their high school education. Don Windeler also holds additional certifications including Certified Catastrophe Risk Analyst (CCRA) obtained from RMS in 2013 and Professional Geologist certification from the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologist.
