Nicola Howe has a diverse work experience in the fields of catastrophe risk modeling and oceanography. Nicola started as a Postgraduate Student at Imperial College London in 2006 and later worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Reading. Nicola then transitioned to a role as a Physical Oceanography Post Doctoral Researcher at the University of Reading. More recently, Nicola held various positions at RMS, including Catastrophe Risk Modeller, Senior Modeller, Lead Modeller, and currently serves as the Principal Modeller.
Nicola Howe attended Hitchin Girl's School from 1997 to 2001. Nicola then pursued a degree in Chemical Physics at the University of Bristol from 2001 to 2005. Later, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy in Oceanography, Chemical and Physical at Imperial College London. In 2019, Nicola obtained certification as a Certified Catastrophe Risk Analyst from RMS.
