Director at RNAimmune

David Brown has worked in the scientific field since 2011. David began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the J. Craig Venter Institute, where they developed an assay for detecting viral host defense inhibitors, constructed and tested de novo human artificial chromosomes, and developed a neuroblastoma-derived neuronal cell line. Additionally, they assisted in the development of a Multivalent Rhinovirus Vaccine sponsored by GSK. As a Research Fellow, they developed and optimized methods to transfer large DNA molecules cloned in yeast into cultured mammalian cells, and adapted this method to deliver the herpes simplex virus genome cloned in yeast into mammalian cells to produce infectious virus. In 2021, David Brown joined RNAimmune as an Associate Director and Senior Scientist.

David Brown completed their Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from Hamilton College in 2010. David then went on to pursue a PhD in Molecular & Cellular Biology from the University of Maryland, which they completed in 2017.
