Randy Accetta

Randy Accetta has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Randy worked as the Director of Coaching Education at the Road Runners Club of America. Randy founded Run Tucson LLC, a full-service running company that provides coaching, event consulting, and expertise in the running and endurance sports industries. Randy also worked as an E-learning consultant at Accetta Enterprises, serving clients such as the University of Arizona and Magellan.edu. Randy has been a freelance writer for multiple publications, including Runner's World and the New York Times. Randy served as the Co-Chair and Mentor in Residence at the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Arizona, responsible for curriculum development and teaching. Randy has been involved with various organizations, including the Southern Arizona Roadrunners and Greater Tucson Leadership. Randy has also held roles at the National Observatory and Passport to Adventure, a web-based travel company. Randy Accetta graduated from Wesleyan University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature. Prior to that, they attended Phillips Academy from 1978 to 1981, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown. In 1993, Randy obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona, majoring in English. Before pursuing their Ph.D., they attended Humboldt State University from 1991 to 1993, where they earned a double Masters in the Art of Teaching of Writing and Shakespeare.
