Valerie Arias

Valerie Arias, M.S. is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in higher education and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Currently serving as the Student Career Coach and DEI Team Lead at Road to Hire since June 2023, Valerie previously held the position of Assistant Director for Hispanic & Latinx Recruitment at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from May 2022 to June 2023. At Florida State University, Valerie was the Interim Program Coordinator for Social Justice Education, managing significant programs and enhancing engagement in diversity and inclusion. Prior experience includes guiding over 400 high school seniors as a College Advisor with College Advising Corps and supporting diversity initiatives at Davidson College, where Valerie worked as a Student Coordinator in the Center for Diversity & Inclusion and as a Resident Advisor. Valerie holds a Master of Science in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics and Art History from Davidson College.
