Erin Burcham serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Roanoke Blacksburg Innovation Alliance since January 2022, where the focus is on fostering the growth of the technology and life sciences sectors in the region. In addition, Erin is the Executive Director of the Roanoke - Blacksburg Technology Council, dedicated to supporting technology entrepreneurs and companies. Previous roles include Director of Talent Solutions at the Roanoke Regional Partnership and Marketing and Program Coordinator at the Virginia Tech Roanoke Center. Earlier experience encompasses management and planning positions at various country clubs and as an intern in sports information at the University of South Carolina. Erin holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies with an additional focus on Economic Development from Virginia Tech and a BA in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina, complemented by a study abroad program at the University of Newcastle.
