Ryan King

Ryan King, PhD, currently serves as the Executive Director for Administration and Chief of Staff at Roanoke College and as a Reviewer for SBIR/STTR at the National Science Foundation. Previously, Ryan was an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Innovation Manager at Carilion Clinic, focusing on leveraging technology to enhance healthcare delivery. Ryan's academic journey includes postdoctoral training at The Ohio State University and Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, where research emphasized molecular connections in health-related fields and established community partnerships. A holder of a PhD in Translational Biology, Medicine and Health from Virginia Tech, Ryan has also worked in research roles at UNC Health Care and Carolinas Healthcare System, contributing significantly to studies in heart failure and atrial fibrillation.
