Laurens Swinkels

Laurens Swinkels is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in investment solutions and quantitative finance. Since July 2016, Laurens has served as Executive Director and Head of Solutions Research at Robeco, focusing on creating bespoke multi-asset investment strategies. Laurens is also an Associate Editor for Emerging Markets Review and the South Asian Journal of Business Studies, as well as a Member of the Editorial Board for the Financial Analysts Journal. Additional roles include Board Member of the Norsk Forening for Kvantitativ Finans, Member of the Investment Committee at Stichting Pensioenfonds Robeco, and participation in Inquire Europe as a Board Member and Research Committee member. An Associate Professor at Erasmus School of Economics since 2005, Laurens has a strong academic background with a PhD in Econometrics and Finance from Tilburg University, complemented by roles at Norges Bank Investment Management and CBR.
