Wim-Hein Pals has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Wim-Hein started their career as an Economist at ABN AMRO Bank in January 1990. In September 1990, they joined Robeco as the Managing Director and Head of Emerging Markets Equities. Wim-Hein co-founded Robeco's Global Emerging Markets Equities strategy in February 1994 and became the lead portfolio manager of the flagship product, Emerging Markets Equities, in April 2000. Additionally, they served as the Head of the Emerging Markets team, leading a team of 14 portfolio managers/analysts since 2002. In their role as the Senior Fund Manager, Wim-Hein managed various portfolios, including the Robeco Pacific fund and emerging Asia portfolios. The assets under their management for Robeco EM Core currently stand at USD 5 billion. Their performance has been recognized with a Morningstar rating of 4 Stars and a Qualitative rating of Silver.
Wim-Hein Pals attended Tilburg University from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Master's degree in Business Economics. Following this, they pursued further education at Eindhoven University of Technology from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Master's degree in Technical Engineering and Management Science. Additionally, they hold a certificate from the Amsterdam Institute of Finance, although the specific details regarding the month and year of the certification are unavailable.
