Bryan Stokes

Bryan Stokes has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the field of education and early childhood development. Bryan is currently serving as the Director of Education Portfolio at the Robert R. McCormick Foundation. Prior to this role, they were a Fellow at Leadership Greater Chicago. Bryan also has experience working in the Chicago Public Schools as the Chief of Early Childhood Education. Bryan has held various positions at different organizations such as the Illinois Action for Children, where they served as the Vice President of Early Learning Programs, and the Governor's Office of Early Childhood Development, where they served as the Preschool Expansion Policy Director. Bryan has also worked at the Gads Hill Center as the Director of Programs, Director of Center-Based Children's Services, and Education Coordinator. Bryan has additional experience as an Educational Lead Teacher at the Carole Robertson Center for Learning, a Residential Coordinator at Northwestern University, and a Graduate Assistant/Composition Instructor at Penn State University. Bryan's early career includes an internship at The Kenyon Review while they were a student at Kenyon College.

Bryan Stokes earned an H.S. Diploma from University of Detroit Jesuit in 2001. Bryan later attended Kenyon College from 2001 to 2005, where they completed their BA in English. From 2005 to 2007, Stokes pursued a Master's degree in English at Penn State University. Additionally, they obtained a Type 04 certificate in Early Childhood Education from Dominican University.
