Oscar Matzener's work experience includes various roles in the IT field. Oscar started off as a Systems Support Analyst at Robert Walters in 1998. Oscar then moved on to Halliburton in 1997 as an IT Coordinator, supporting their IT operations in Angola, Congo, and Gabon. Oscar later worked at Computer-Alliance / Q Data / P Q Africa as a Field Services Engineer, providing support for Windows and Novel systems as well as hardware and software maintenance. Oscar returned to Robert Walters in 1999 as an IT Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing IT operations and projects throughout Europe. Oscar later held positions as Head of IT Operations EMEA, CTO, and Chief Architect and CISO. Most recently, they have been serving as the Chief Architect at Robert Walters.

Oscar Matzener has a diverse education history. In 2005, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in IT from the University of Liverpool, specializing in areas such as security, databases, networks, operating systems, IT project management, and computer forensics. In 2010, they attended the Knowledge Academy for a Prince2 Foundation & Practitioner course. Then, in 2015, they completed an Information Risk Assessment Methodology program at the Information Security Forum. Most recently, they pursued a CISSP certification at Firebrand in the field of computer and information systems security/information assurance. Oscar also obtained a TOGAF 9.2 certification in enterprise architecture from QA in 2018. Additionally, in 2020, Oscar received a LeanIX Certified EA Practitioner certification. Recent certifications include Microsoft 365 Copilot First Look, Streamlining Your Work with Microsoft Bing Chat, Generative AI: The Evolution of Thoughtful Online Search, and What Is Generative AI?, all obtained in 2023 from LinkedIn.
