Ariel Sankar - Bergmann

Ariel Sankar-Bergmann is an experienced program officer currently working at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation since January 2023. Previously, Ariel held various leadership roles at Prosperity Now from September 2015 to January 2023, culminating as Director of Ecosystem Change, where responsibilities included project development and management, team supervision, and strategic relationship management. Earlier experience includes positions with the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, The Urban Institute, New York University, The Bronx Defenders, and Pregnancy Justice, where engagement spanned research, policy analysis, and advocacy within criminal justice and community empowerment contexts. Ariel holds a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy from NYU Wagner and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from The University of Michigan.
