Aisha Baiocchi

Aisha Baiocchi is an accomplished journalist and editor currently serving as Special Projects Editor at The Daily Tar Heel, where leadership of a team focused on long-form investigative projects is emphasized. With experience as a Uprising Fellow at Just Media Project, Aisha engages in the intersection of criminal justice reform and journalism. A participant in the prestigious Robertson Scholars Leadership Program, Aisha balances studies in Media and Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and International Comparative Studies at Duke University. Previous roles include Enterprise Managing Editor and Senior Writer at The Daily Tar Heel, Metro Reporting Intern at The Tampa Bay Times, and involvement with various organizations and initiatives promoting diversity and accountability in journalism.
