Riya Sharma

Riya Sharma is currently serving as the Social Science Chair and First Year Representative at Carolina Analytics and Data Science since August 2022. Riya is also a Robertson Scholar in the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program at Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, contributing to leadership development and community engagement. Riya's experience includes roles as a Copy Editor at The Daily Tar Heel, Research Assistant at Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy, and Investigative Intern at Orleans Public Defenders. Additional positions include Undergraduate Fellow at the Duke Initiative for Urban Studies, Field Organizer and Field Director for political campaigns, and leadership roles in youth advocacy organizations. Riya is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at Duke University and a Bachelor of Science at UNC-Chapel Hill, having previously graduated from The Overlake School with a high school diploma.
