Roelof Hoekstra

Roelof Hoekstra has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Roelof is currently working as the Head of Engineering at Robin Radar Systems since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Huisman Equipment B.V. as an Electrical Engineer from 2011 to 2019, where they contributed to significant projects such as the Subsea 7 Seven Waves vessel. Roelof also worked at Verebus Engineering BV as an Engineer for train safety installations from 2005 to 2011. Additionally, Roelof has co-owned a kitesurfing webshop called Side Shore from 2008 to 2009. Roelof has also held positions at Imtech, TNO, Nederlands Meetinstituut, SnowWorld, Kropman Installatietechniek, and BAM Rail bv, where they gained valuable experience in various technical roles.

Roelof Hoekstra completed their primary education at SG Branderstad from 1987 to 1992, receiving a degree in LTS. Roelof then pursued further studies in Energietechniek, earning a degree in MTS from Rijnmond (now Albeda College) between 1993 and 1996. Finally, from 1996 to 2004, they attended De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained an HBO degree in Electrical Engineering.
