Craig Barrere

Craig Barrere is the current Senior Director & Associate Counsel, Tax at Robinhood. Craig has over fifteen years of experience in tax law, having worked as Head of Tax at GitHub and Tax Counsel at Uber. Craig began their career as an associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, before moving to KPMG LLP as a Senior Associate, International Tax. Craig has a wealth of experience in representing U.S. and foreign multinational corporations in cross-border tax matters, and has expertise in international tax structuring, U.S. anti-deferral rules, foreign tax credits, related party transactions, and tax treaties. Craig is also experienced in resolving tax controversy matters.

Craig Barrere received their BA with distinction from University of California, Berkeley. Craig then attended Santa Clara University School of Law, where they earned their JD. After law school, they pursued an LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law.

They work with James Loat - Head of Legal, UK & President, UK (SMF1/3), LaSalle Vaughn - Head of Global Compliance Communications & Head of Global Ethics/Compliance Training, and Michael Hauser - Global Head of Privacy. Craig Barrere reports to Daniel Gallagher, Chief Legal Officer.
