Hefu Chai

Hefu Chai is an experienced technical leader currently serving as a Technical Lead at Robinhood since 2021, focusing on crypto trading core services, crypto experiences, Robinhood Connect, and crypto transfers. Prior to this role, Hefu worked at Facebook from 2015 to 2021 as a Staff Software Engineer, contributing to Instagram infrastructure and Messenger applications. Hefu's earlier experience includes a position as a Software Engineer at Google, where contributions were made to the AdWords serving infrastructure, and at Morgan Stanley, focusing on technology and information risk. Hefu holds a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Computer Science and dual Bachelor's degrees in Computer Software Engineering (major) and Finance (minor) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
