John Hegeman was most recently the Chief Revenue Officer at Meta. He joined the company in 2007 and was an engineering leader on our ads system for seven years. In 2016 he moved over to the Facebook app and spent five years leading Feed and other parts of the core product experience including Stories, notifications and integrity. In 2021, he returned to ads as the product group lead, and in 2022, he moved into the role of Head of Monetization.
John is originally from Iowa but moved to California for college and attended Stanford where he received his degree in math and economics. He also serves on the board of directors for Jio Platforms Limited, Robinhood Markets Inc., and the Center for Election Science.
