Kurt Friend

Kurt Friend, CSP, serves as the District Safety Director at Robins & Morton since September 2021, bringing extensive experience in environmental health and safety (EHS) management. Prior to this role, Kurt held the position of Regional EHS Manager at Southern Company from April 2009 to September 2021, and served as the EHS Manager at BE&K from March 2006 to April 2009. Kurt's career also includes significant roles as EHS Manager at Gemma Power Systems, Safety Director at Harry Grodsky & Co., Inc., and EHS Manager at CNF Industries, Inc. Additionally, Kurt began the professional journey as a Safety Engineer at Bath Iron Works. Kurt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, completing the program between 1984 and 1989.
