James Adkins

James Adkins has a diverse work experience. James has worked as a Commercial Drone Pilot for Phantom 4 Pro since September 2019. Prior to that, they were the Owner of Carolina Investments and Property Services, LLC since February 2014, where they bought, renovated, restored, and sold properties. Before that, they worked as an Air Traffic Controller for Robinson Aviation Rva Inc starting from February 2011. From August 2004 to February 2011, they worked as a Contract Pilot for UNC Educational Foundation (Rams Club) and from October 2006 to November 2010, they worked as a Contract Corporate Pilot for Aviation Management Group. Prior to these roles, they had a long and successful career as an Air Traffic Controller and retired from FAA Air Traffic Control Tower after 29 years of government service in April 2006.

James Adkins received their education from various institutions. James attended Danville Community College from 1973 to 1975 and again from 1979 to 1980, where they pursued a degree in Business Administration and Management, General. James also completed a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program at George Washington High School in Danville, Virginia, from 1969 to 1973.

Additionally, James Adkins obtained certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration. In October 2019, they acquired the Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot License. James also holds a commercial Pilot certification with instrument and multi-engine ratings, as well as experience as an Air Traffic Control Operator/Instructor.
