Kerry Facer has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. They began their career as an Air Traffic Controller in the US Navy from 1982 to 1990. After serving in the military, Kerry joined the Utah Army National Guard as a Flight Operations Specialist and later became the Detachment NCOIC until 1999.
In 1999, Kerry transitioned to the civilian sector and worked as a Field Service Technician for Customer Service Associates. They then moved on to FTI Flow Technology, Inc, where they held the positions of Production Supervisor, IT Administrator, and Electronic Associate from 2000 to 2005.
Following that, Kerry joined Mesa Airlines as a Hub Operations Agent and Ramp Agent for a year before transitioning to US Airways in 2006. At US Airways, Kerry held various roles in operations, including Hub Control Center Lead, Hub Operations Shift Manager, Ramp Duty Manager, and Hub Operations Senior Manager.
In 2014, Kerry transitioned to American Airlines, where they served as a Traffic Surface Manager - Ramp. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the transition of ramp control sectors and actively participated in projects to improve aircraft traffic flow on the terminal ramp. They also collaborated with the City of Charlotte, Department of Aviation, and CLT ATCT Facility to minimize the impact of airfield construction projects on aircraft traffic flow.
Most recently, Kerry joined Robinson Aviation (RVA), Inc. in 2023 as a Ramp Tower Controller.
Kerry Facer attended the Naval Air Technical Training Center in 1982, where they studied Air Traffic Controller. In 1996, they enrolled at the ITT Technical Institute - Murray and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology.
