Oren Jacob

Oren Jacob is a seasoned professional in technology and animation, currently serving as Senior Director for Roblox Avatars since July 2025. Prior experience includes a role as New Product DRI at Apple from January 2019 to June 2025, focusing on enhancements to Siri. As Cofounder and CEO of PullString, Inc. from May 2011 to January 2019, Oren led a venture-funded startup aimed at creating interactive conversations with characters, ultimately acquired by Apple. A former Director at Pixar from June 1990 to April 2011, Oren contributed significantly to major projects, including the development of the Presto animation system and technical direction on films like Finding Nemo and Toy Story 2. In addition, Oren has held various teaching positions, including an instructor role at both the University of California, Berkeley, and Pixar University, mentoring students in entrepreneurship and technical direction. Oren holds an MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, along with certification in Avalanche Safety from Alpine Skills International.
