Boyang Song's work experience begins in 2013 when they worked as an Automation Engineer at Kinco Automation. In this role, their main responsibilities included providing solutions to customers using the company's products and offering technical support to the sales team. The products they worked with included motion controllers, servo motors, stepper motors, and HMIs.
In 2018, Boyang embarked on two internship positions. At VinciTech, they were an Internship Trainee working on a project involving sensor fusion for ground mobile robots using EKF. Their tasks included designing an algorithm to fuse multiple data sources, such as odometry, optical flow sensors, and depth camera, to determine the poses of an Ackermann steering mobile robot. Also in 2018, Boyang worked as an Internship Trainee at Avular. Here, they participated in a project focused on developing a SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) back-end based on factor graph optimization algorithms. They dealt with a series of RGB-D images and produced an estimated trajectory and a dense map of the working area. This internship began in December 2018 and ended in September 2019.

Boyang Song obtained their Master's degree in System and Control from Eindhoven University of Technology, where they studied from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, studying from 2009 to 2013.
