Takahiro Matsumoto has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Takahiro started their career as a Marketing Intern at BlackRock in 2013. Takahiro then worked as a Casualty Underwriter at Tokio marine & nichido fire insurance, where they analyzed risks quantitatively and developed products.

In 2017, Takahiro joined Uber as an Operations Associate, where they prepared data dashboards, built fare estimation models, and conducted experiments to improve incentive programs and rider conversions. Takahiro then became the Operations & Logistics Manager at Uber, where they optimized the marketplace, launched new products, and established a general equilibrium model for supply/demand chains.

In 2019, Takahiro joined DataRobot as a Data Scientist, leading AI projects for insurance companies and building machine learning models for predicting up-sell opportunities. Takahiro Matsumoto began their education journey in 2010 when they enrolled at Kyoto University to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Takahiro successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2014. During their academic years, they had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 2012 to 2013, where they focused on studying Economics.

In 2016, Takahiro pursued further education by joining UCL, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Economics in 2017. To expand their knowledge, they also attended UCLA for a summer program in 2016, where they studied Econometrics and Quantitative Economics.

After obtaining their master's degree, Takahiro decided to delve into the field of computer science. In 2019, they enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing a Master of Computer and Information Technology (MCIT) with a specialization in Computer Science. Takahiro is expected to complete their studies in 2022.

To complement their education, Takahiro has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they completed the "Computational Thinking for Problem Solving" course from Coursera. In the same year, they also obtained the certification of "Travel Agency Manager, domestic (国内旅行業務取扱管理者)" from the All Nippon Travel Agents Association. In 2020, they acquired the "Machine Learning" certification from Coursera and became a certified "Travel Agency Manager, international (総合旅行業務取扱管理者)" through the Japan Association of Travel Agents. Most recently, in May 2022, they obtained the official title of Master of Computer and Information Technology from the University of Pennsylvania.
