Kevin Gibbins

Head Of Football Science & Performance at Rochdale Association Football Club

Kevin Gibbins has a strong background in football, with experience ranging from playing professional football to holding various coaching and fitness roles. Kevin started their career as a footballer at Rochdale Association Football Club from 2002 to 2006. Kevin then transitioned into a coaching role, joining Rochdale as a Lead Academy Sport Scientist from January 2013 to June 2014. Kevin later became the Head of Football Science at Rochdale from June 2014 to June 2018. Following that, they worked as the First Team Fitness & Conditioning Coach at Wigan Athletic F.C. from June 2018 to June 2019. Currently, Kevin is serving as the Head of Football Science & Performance at Rochdale Association Football Club from June 2019 onwards.

Kevin Gibbins earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Applied Sports Science (Human Performance) from The University of Salford from 2008 to 2011. Kevin then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Sports Physiology at Liverpool John Moores University from 2011 to 2012.
