Matthew Hobbs

Matthew Hobbs has a comprehensive background in product development and management, with experience in various industries. Matthew has held positions such as Director of Product Development at Rochdale Spears Group, where they focused on developing products that meet client criteria. Matthew also served as Head of Product Development / Outsourcing at the same company, where they were responsible for managing the development and product management of casegoods and lighting for clients including Restoration Hardware and Anthropology. Prior to this, Matthew was a General Manager at Olympia Tools / Trading, where they established trading offices and managed the transition of production from China to Vietnam and Cambodia. Matthew also served as Design and Product Development Director at Global Home Group, overseeing the design and development of indoor and outdoor furniture products. Matthew's career also includes working as a Design and Product Development Manager at Osbourne Davey Ltd, where they designed and developed garden and outdoor furniture collections for retailers such as B&Q and Crate and Barrel. Matthew started their career as a Product Development Manager at Sainsbury Supermarkets PLC, where they focused on non-food items. Matthew's expertise in international supply and sourcing was developed during their time as a Design Manager at Habitat UK ltd, where they gained an understanding of trend analysis and product development processes.

Matthew Hobbs completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Furniture/Product Design and Manufacturing at Nottingham Trent University from 1994 to 1998.
