Michael Walbert is the current Vice President of Experience at Rock The Bells. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director of A3C Festival & Conference from June 2009 to March 2020. In this role, they were responsible for strategic partnerships, marketing, programming, business development, communications, brand strategy, and sponsorship sales. During their time with A3C, the festival grew from a regional showcase to an internationally recognized institution in hip-hop culture.
Prior to their work with A3C, Walbert served as Co-Founder and Manager of SMKA Productions from August 2008 to March 2015. In this role, they helped the company grow from a local production company into one of the most respected production companies in the country. Michael also co-founded Hotlanta Hot Sauce in January 2008, which quickly became a successful local business.
Walbert began their career in 2007 as Marketing Director & Brand Manager for Potato Finger Snack Foods Inc. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns that increased brand awareness and sales. Michael has since used their expertise in marketing and branding to help grow several businesses.
Michael Walbert began their educational career at Paideia High School. Michael then went on to study business and entrepreneurship at the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business.
Michael Walbert reports to LL Cool J, CEO. They are on a team with Howard Stein - VP, Business Operations & Partnerships, Richard Morris - VP, Global Commerce, and Alex Grant - VP, Brand Partnerships.
