Christopher Wheeler

Christopher Wheeler, MPA, currently serves as the Interim Director of Planning and Development for Rockdale County since July 2022, and previously held the role of Deputy Director within the same department. Prior experience includes positions as a Planner (PT) for Gwinnett County Government from November 2021 to July 2022 and a Community Development Professional Associate at Jacobs, where responsibilities encompassed assisting the City Manager and Planning and Zoning Director in addition to serving as Planner II. Christopher's earlier roles include working as a Planner at CH2M and an intern at Fulton County Economic Development Division, where contributions involved conducting market studies and demographic analyses. Christopher holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of West Georgia and a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry Science from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University.
