Doug Barrows

Doug Barrows is an accomplished Bioinformatics Analyst at The Rockefeller University since March 2016, where responsibilities include co-founding the Data Science Initiative to enhance the skills of graduate students and postdocs through organized panels and workshops. As a Board Member of the Postdoctoral Association, Doug advocates for the postdoc community, organizes social events, and leads career development initiatives. Doug's previous experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. David Allis, teaching volunteer at BioBus, and obtaining a PhD in Pharmacology from Columbia University, where research was conducted under Dr. Ramon Parsons. Additional roles include Research Technician at Tufts University and Research Associate at Alkermes, focusing on drug stability testing. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Duke University.
