Askar Kazbekov

Askar Kazbekov is an accomplished aerospace engineer currently serving as a Propulsion Engineer in Combustion Devices at Rocket Lab since November 2022. Prior experience includes a Graduate Research Assistant role at Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2018 to November 2022 and a Teaching Assistant position for the Aerospace Propulsion course at the University of Toronto, where responsibilities included grading and lecturing. Askar's background also encompasses internships at SpaceX, where analysis of Merlin engines and critical valve development for the Dragon 2 spacecraft took place, and research roles at Technische Universität Darmstadt and the University of Toronto. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto, accompanied by a high school diploma from Bloor Collegiate Institute.
