Gabriel Norris is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as a Ground Systems Engineer II at Rocket Lab since April 2022, Gabriel is responsible for the design, procurement, installation, and testing of fluid systems for the Neutron launch pad. Prior roles at Rocket Lab include Launch and Test Operations Engineer and Acting Team Lead for Ground Systems Launch Operations, where Gabriel managed ground control operations for multiple launches and tests. As President and Head of Engineering for the UVA High Powered Rocketry Team, Gabriel led design reviews and managed various experimental projects. Additional experience includes a Launch Engineering Internship at Virginia Spaceport Authority, NREIP Internship at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, and roles as a Research Assistant at the University of Virginia, Engineering Intern at IHMC, and Software Engineering Intern at Oracle. Gabriel holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and Astronomy-Physics, both from the University of Virginia.
