Skip Williams

Skip Williams, PhD, MBA, serves as the Vice President and General Manager at Rocket Lab since August 2025, following a role as Chief Operating Officer (Acting) at Geost, a LightRidge Solutions Company, where significant contributions were made towards the acquisition of Geost by Rocket Lab. As Chief Technology Officer of LightRidge Solutions from October 2023 to August 2025, Skip oversaw engineering and operational efforts across multiple divisions focused on space and airborne sensor solutions. Previously, Skip held leadership roles at L3Harris Technologies, OEwaves Inc., SPAWAR, and the Air Force Research Laboratory, exhibiting extensive expertise in defense manufacturing, business development, and advanced research in aerospace technologies. Academic credentials include a PhD in Chemical Physics from Stanford University and an MBA specializing in Aerospace & Defense from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
