Rory Norman

Rory Norman has a diverse work experience spanning from 2013 to 2023. Starting from their earliest roles, Rory served as a Desktop Support Specialist at APCISG before moving on to ThrottleNet, Inc. as a Support Analyst. Rory then worked as a Network Technician at CMIT Solutions, Inc. before joining Monsanto Company as an Infrastructure Engineer. Rory then transitioned to BJC HealthCare as a Systems Engineer and later joined Western Governors University as a DevOps Engineer.

In 2019, Rory joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Technical Account Manager for multiple Enterprise Support customers, where they were responsible for providing architecture guidance, issue escalation, coordination, communication, AWS training, and spend analysis. From May 2021 to December 2021, Rory worked as a DevOps Consultant at AWS Professional Services, architecting and implementing serverless client solutions using various AWS services.

After their tenure at AWS, Rory joined TaxBit as a Senior DevOps Engineer, providing support for a large AWS startup environment and working with various AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, and Redshift. Rory also played a vital role in designing and supporting deployment pipelines using tools like CircleCI, Terraform, Serverless Framework, and CDK. Rory led the implementation of a data warehouse project using Redshift, Fivetran, and DBT while also supporting data engineering needs.

Most recently, Rory joined Rocket Money (formerly Truebill) as a Senior DevOps Engineer in 2023.

Rory Norman obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from WGU Missouri, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. In addition, Rory obtained certifications such as AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2021 and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from AWS in June 2018.
