Cheryl Smith

Cheryl Smith is a board member at Rocket Wagon. Cheryl has over 25 years of experience in executive leadership positions in the technology sector. Cheryl has a proven track record in developing and executing strategy, building high-performing teams, and delivering business results.

Cheryl was previously the EVP & CIO at WestJet from January 2011 to December 2014. Cheryl was responsible for all WestJet and WestJet Encore IT systems and operations, and was a member of the WestJet Executive Team.

From January 2002 to December 2005, Cheryl was the EVP & CIO at McKesson, where they were responsible for McKesson IT worldwide, including 1,500 IT employees and a $500M annual budget. Cheryl also oversaw the Irish corporations that held all corporate software IP and distributed all HIT software products.

Cheryl was the SVP & CIO at KeySpan from January 1998 to December 2002. Cheryl was responsible for KeySpan IT company wide, including 700+ employees and a $150-200M budget. Cheryl also acted as President of KeySpan Technology Inc., a wholly-owned investment subsidiary designed to deliver new energy-related, technology-based products and services.

Before joining KeySpan, Cheryl was the VP Information Technology at Verizon from January 1994 to December 1998.
