Michael Horito is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in design and product development. As the Director at Rocketship, Inc. since 2001, Michael has overseen the creation of over 600 products for more than 300 clients in diverse industries. Michael has contributed as a Visiting Lecturer, imparting knowledge on design-related topics to schools and professional groups. Additionally, Michael served on the organizing committee for TEDxBYU and supported various TEDx events since 2010. Involvement with the Industrial Designers Society of America as Vice Chair for the Rocky Mountain Chapter spanned a decade. Michael was an Organizing Committee Member for Salt Lake Design Week and served on Provo City's Planning Commission. As founder of the non-profit Invented in Utah, Michael promoted inventorship in the state through events such as the Inventors' Symposium and Inventors' Challenge. Academic credentials include a BFA in Industrial, Product Development and Product Experience Design from Brigham Young University, along with additional studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the University of Utah.
