Alberto Perez

Alberto Perez is a Bay Area local, born and raised in Pittsburg, California. He has proudly served as an educator with Rocketship for nearly a decade, moving through many grades and titles in his time with the organization. In 2016, he joined the founding team at Rising Stars Academy and helped to make it a top school in San Jose and one that the Seven Trees community of South San Jose deserves. Alberto embodies Rising Stars’ 5th core value of Advocacy through the work he does in and beyond the school community. While earning his Bachelor’s in Sociology – Community Change, Alberto was a key member of the student organization that raised the minimum wage in San Jose and he continues to rally with and support organizations that fight for socioeconomic justice.
