Jason Yost

Jason Yost is currently the CEO at Rockford Silk Screen. Prior to that, they worked as an Application Engineer at Securian Financial Group from June 2007 to May 2019. Jason was a lead developer on the web security-focused sub-team and collaborated with the front end developer on a major refactoring of the company's Java 401k plan participant website. Jason also participated in the migration of Securian code to a new toolchain built on Github, Jenkins, and Puppet. Additionally, Jason was co-lead developer on the migration of the 401k plan participant website from CGI/C++ to Java. Their contribution to this multi-year project spanned the full stack from the front end with AngularJS, Grunt, and Node.js to RESTful web services serving JSON with Spring MVC and Jackson to back end SQL, LDAP, Omni, and MATLAB integrations. Jason served as technical decision maker on design questions for a team of half a dozen developers and developed an implementation scheme to gradually shift more and more traffic to the new site. Jason also executed the implementation and supported Production issues.Jason's other notable achievements at Securian Financial Group include designing a multithreaded solution for Spring Batch application to maximize throughput and minimize run time, participating in Securian's pilot for migrating off WebSphere onto tc Server (Tomcat), and architecting, designing, and leading development on a new directory-based security for external-facing 401k

Jason Yost has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota. Jason also has certification from LOMA in Associate, Life Management Institute (ALMI) as well as certification from Epic in Anesthesia Pre-op Version Spring 06, OpTime, and EpicCare Inpatient Documentation and Orders.
