Kris Vacek

Kris Vacek has served as the Dean of Saint Luke's College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Rockhurst University since August 1998, also holding a faculty position in Occupational Therapy. Vacek possesses leadership experience in communication sciences and disorders, exercise science, health science, nursing, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Previously, Vacek was Dean of the College of Health and Human Services and acted as Interim Associate Dean, providing oversight for the School of Graduate and Professional Studies. Vacek is a Peer Reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission and has experience as an expert witness in occupational therapy from 2004 to 2021. Vacek earned a Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Creighton University and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, also from Creighton University.
