Katherine Penatzer has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare and manufacturing industries. Katherine began their career in 2000 as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center. Katherine then worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Inova Health System from 2001 to 2002. Katherine continued their nursing career at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, they transitioned into a leadership role as the Director of Nursing at HCR ManorCare until 2010. From 2010 to 2015, they served as the Director of Quality, Risk Management and Education at Fulton County Medical Center. Most recently, they served as the Human Resources Director at Rockland Manufacturing Company from 2015 onwards.
Katherine Penatzer holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management, which they obtained from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) in 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Nursing at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) in 2001. Additionally, in 2000, they earned an Associate of Science - AS degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the College of Southern Maryland. In terms of certifications, Katherine obtained the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation from SHRM in February 2021.
