William Greenhut, DO, MPH, FACEP has extensive experience in emergency medicine and medical directorship roles. William currently serves as the Committee Chair for the National EM CQC Sepsis Subcommittee at Envision Physician Services and the Medical Director for the Emergency Department at Montefiore Nyack Hospital. William also holds the position of Interim Emergency Department Associate Director at Nyack Hospital. Dr. Greenhut has served as the Medical Director for multiple EMS agencies, including Rockland Paramedics Services, CONGERS VALLEY COTTAGE VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE CORPS INC, Piermont Fire Department, Stony Point Ambulance Corps, Nyack Community Ambulance, New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and Nanuet Emergency Medical Services. In addition, they are an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, teaching at both the Middletown and Harlem campuses.

William Greenhut, DO, MPH, FACEP completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology at the University at Albany, SUNY from 1997 to 2001. William then pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Public Health at the University at Albany School of Public Health from 2001 to 2003. Afterward, they attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained their Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) degree in Osteopathic Medicine.

From 2008 to 2012, William Greenhut completed their Emergency Medicine Residency at Lehigh Valley Health Network. During this time, they also obtained Level 3 Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Certification in June 2012. Additionally, they achieved Board Certification in Emergency Medicine from the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 2013.

Furthermore, William Greenhut holds various additional certifications, including being an ACLS Instructor certified by the American Heart Association and having completed ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) training by the ACS Committee on Trauma. William is also certified in BLS CPR & AED (Basic Life Support Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & Automated External Defibrillator), ICS 100b (Incident Command System 100b) by FEMA, and is a PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Instructor certified by the American Heart Association.
